Q. How often should I get an eye exam? A. The American Optometric Association recommends every one to two years depending on the age and health of the patient.
Q. Do I have to get my eyes examined by Dr. Choe to get my glasses here? A. Not at all. As long as you have a current valid prescription from a licensed optometrist or ophthalmologist, you can always buy your glasses here.
Q. Do I have to have an appointment to see Dr. Choe? A. It is not required, but it may be a good idea. Dr. Choe welcomes walkin patients, but it is on a first come, first serve basis. If you have an appointment, you will be seen first.
Q. How much will my lenses cost? A. There are a lot of factors that affect the price of the lenses. Until we know your prescription and the type of lens you want, we will not be able to estimate the cost of your lenses.
Q. I love fashion eyewear. Can I buy them without a prescription. A. Sure. We can put "plano" or no prescription lenses into them with all the great options as prescription lenes.
Q. How can I get a copy of my prescription? A. Contact us and ask us for a copy of your prescription. Q.What kind of warranty is available on my glasses? A. Most of our glasses come with a one year manufacturer's warranty.
Q. Can I sleep in my contact lenses? A. Many contact lenses can be worn overnight or while you sleep. Dr. Choe can determine if any of these contacts would be right for you.
Q. Can I wear colored contacts if I don't need vision correction? A. Yes. You will need a regular contact exam with Dr. Choe as well as care and cleaning instructions, just as you would if you needed them to correct your eyesight.
Q. Do I need both contacts and eyeglasses? A. It is a good idea to have a back up pair of glasses in case of infection or injury that would temporarily prevent contact lens wear. You may also lose or run out of your contacts.
Q. Can I wear contacts if I have had refractive surgery? A. You may be able to, but your doctor will be able to tell for sure.
